Bring Me a Song

Waves are depositing debris
of ocean glass smoothly polished.
Bring me a song, notes to right wrong;
nature's rhythm firmly established.

Waves are lapping at my bare feet,
seagulls competing for the spoil.
Notes to right wrong, bring me a song
to orchestrate this daily toil.

Waves are haunting nostalgia glimpse,
my waking hours - torturously.
Bring me a song, notes to right wrong;
second chance given fortuitously.

Waves are carrying morning mist,
wisps of people's forgotten dreams.
Notes to right wrong, bring me a song
for the hearts with golden threat seems.

    Sounds lonely Su, great mood you have going in this and I loved the repetition in the 3rd line of each stanza. Feels good to read this, Love, Lizzie

    Happy to read you again, Su! I love the rhythm, the waves and this powerful nostalgia that helps us right the wrong, when there comes the time for silence and deepest thoughts... Thanks for sharing, dear Su! :) Love, Hanitra
