The sun will rise, the sun will set, no more love will life beget; The day will break, the moon to rise, no more love,as this life dies; The Summer heat,or Winter cold, no more love will this life hold; The Autumn fall, and Springtime green, no more again, will love be seen; The wheat will shoot, the grass will grow, no more again sweet love to know; The grape will ripen on the vine no more,no more will love be mine. inspired after reading an essay by Nicholas Ferrar(1592-1637) the English ascetic of the Little Gidding community(was also TS Eliot's inspiration foth the last of his Four Quartets).

Great inspiration. It's wonderful to find treasure within others to be out the jewels within the self.

Kyrielle's are cool! I like the way you chose to write this one. With quatrain's and ending in a couplet! Kind of French, kyrielle's are. Like the message too- beyond love! Susan

So well written, Brian, by presenting your thoughts with contradiction as nature continues but love doesn't? I think love always finds a way though. But we human have to learn so much more from nature perhaps. Congrats on your poem being featured this week! Caroline.

As always, could it be that love was right there before him and he never recognized it because of one thing or another? Who knows, Brian, but love is all around us..I believe we set up walls around ourselves with, for example, class systems, race preference, etc. so sometimes we miss it??? Any thing you write is worth reading, as you know Brian..Enjoyed this very much! Insightful! Thanks for leaving comments on my "Truth and Light" Peace, Audrey
