Autumn Leaf
I
was
glad
when
spring
arrived
and morning
sunrays gave a
tender kiss. I blushed
in green while dewdrops
quenched my thirst. As I peeped
from the branches, gazed the blue sky,
calm breeze whispered and sang a lullaby.
I fell in love with life, but when fall arrived,
I lost some weight and dried. Black clouds
blocked the Sun and conspired to create chaos.
Thunder like hammer created unrest, while
wind carrying its anger grabbed me
towards an unknown land, aloft
adrift, alone and buried me
deep beneath the
dust
and
the
sa-
nd.
