Asking the questions

Asking the questions.

Have you ever stood there spell bound
By the beauty of a lake
Have you gazed into a rose flower?
With senses wide awake
Have you ever held a baby child?
Felt its warmth invade your soul
Have you seen the beauty of the stars?
Have you felt them make you whole?

Have you ever felt the dance of life?
Have you felt its ecstasy?
Do you ponder those big questions?
Have you glimpsed eternity?
Do you pray to your creator?
Though you don't know who you are
Do you seek her on the outside?
As your mind it wanders far

When you see this magic moment
For a fleeting second, there
[And get caught within the mystic
As love moves everywhere]
Have you felt it move within you
As you whisper "who am I?"
And your heart begins to ponder
Who is it lives and dies?
