Rising from the fire like a phoenix, ash morphs into flights of flaming darts. And shadows mark the fringes of light, extinguishing all unwary sparks. Scarlet splashes in the molten flames as cerise and chartreuse ride the waves. And all eyes follow their rhythmic flow for their hypnotic beauty enslaves. Bursts of laughter and bravado bond in scary tales that haunt the night. And comradery clamors to be heard amongst everyone huddled up tight. Tranquility’s intoxicating, saturating your soul with its peace. And it feels like genuine magic when worries and anxieties cease. A brotherhood fuels the campfire, united by its flickering flames. And fragile friendships are rekindled free from frustration and macho games. 2/15/2016

I think is your most poetic one that I've read yet! So many great lines that teem together and truly encapsulate the feeling of being around a bonfire with well known (as well as old) friends! Your second-to-last stanza was my favorite ... genuine magic is a dynamite phrase. A fave from me.

May the heat of the campfire melts all negativity in the hearts of men as all brothers to be! Phantasmagoric poem that ignites our desire to be around the fire you have lit with your poem, dear friend, Emile! Marvelously done!
