Amope

She was the little girl we knew had no feet She was the little girl we knew walked with her knee She was the little girl we knew had it all hard Amope... she was called She was the girl who would always smile She was the girl whose beauty captivates She was the girl whose voice brings down rain She was the girl that smiles and the sun stands still Amope... she was called And now, she is the lady who brought us fame She is the lady that sits by the canvas And all colours obey her calls She is the lady who sings and your soul finds peace Amope... she is still called She is the lady who talks and rainbow appear She is the lady who life gave shackles Oh! with every reason to let go of life She is the lady who never gives up She is the ray of hope She is the lady who walked with knees Amope... she is still called Now, she is a woman, with two kids She is the woman with paintings That adorns the wall of those in the corridor of power She is a woman with a husband so handsome, you will ask, really? She is the woman with album, so inspiring, it brings tears She is the woman who sings and kings listen Amope.. she is still called A girl with disability A lady with confidence and determination A woman who is now an inspiration ~ Amope is a name given to a female child born in the south western part of Nigeria.
