The cat show was amazing,
I'd seen every imaginable color and breed.
I'd never seen so many proud winners in one place.
I met a breeder and I told him what I'd need.

He had three of the most gorgeous
gray eared Siamese kittens I'd ever seen.
I came back once, then twice
To play with the smallest one his body so lean.

To my surprise he asked me if I wanted him for free
Ecstatic I kiss the breeder and held Ajax up close
Ajax had won one third place ribbon but I didn't care.
For this I grabbed my friends and we went out for a toast.

Ajax was never allow out of the house.
But I had some work done on the house and
the carpenter left the door open and Ajax ran out.
Immediately he got hit by a car near the sand.
I ran out and picked him up hugging his lifeless body.
I never gotten another cat again.
