Aggressive Raspberries

There was a story in the newspaper today
It just intrigued me I could not look away
A post woman was attacked by some fruit
Turned her hair grey right down to the root

Aggressive raspberries were the fruit in news
They may have left the post lady bruised
Have the fruit gone bananas or is it just me
I found this story full of hilarity

The council have put up a big reward for their capture
It’s sent all the local gardeners into rapture
They want the raspberries confined to a punnet
Their so dangerous you should put a lid on it

So will someone tell me what are they smoking?
This seems really odd and I’m not joking
The owner of the garden where the raspberries wait
Is handing out ice cream to eat with them great

The post lady will not deliver post again
Until she can see the raspberries are under restrain
So it seems they must be confined to the beds they grew in
Aggressive raspberries netted down it’s a sin

As a boy I learned first-hand just how nasty wild raspberries can be! The good news is that raspberries are now produced without thorns. Owen, 4th stanza, 3rd line, "were" should be "where." Thought you'd want to know. Thanks for reading my work today. / M

Had to show this to the missus - she battles the raspberries in the nearby woods. We both chuckled biggies! Great giggles here, Owen. The raspberries? We made an awesome liqueur for the holidays - glad she likes picking them:-)

Where do you come up with them Owen, this is too funny, I hope you made this up and that it is not a true story, Then again I read alot of strange things in newspapers, perhaps, xxx
