You held me motionless
Suspended & nothing
w/ your promises
Of tomorrow
& pleasure
& whom amongst us
doesn’t desire

Scratching away
My reality.
Up my past along
My future.

I stood there
A fallen angel
A bewildered god
Gifted w/ hope
& courage
But no more…

Belittled by my dreams
Torn to shreds
By thirst
& memories

YOU beast!

If only the stars
Were as certain…
Be no use
For light.
