I taught public school for 30 years and I've seen far too much of this sort of isolation. I do hope some of the snobs and pretty people read your great poem. Oh, Trudy, talk your hubby out of it! My son played in the Kansas City Philharmonic and hated it, moved to Frisco. I've been to Frisco...I'll take Colorado. Love, daver

Boy! ...I can relate to this one. I was pathologically shy in high school, lacking the confidence to congregate. Well done Trudy! Best wishes, Keith

Wonderful expression of exclusion, Trudy! Rarely does the cruelty of the schoolyard breathe on the page (or screen) such as this. Congrats on the win! Warm regards, John.

Trudy, I understand the plight of one who struggles for acceptance. Too bad children can be so mean to each other. I never understood it, but your poem speaks volumes in few words. I appreciate your kind words on "Feline Survivor." It's an issue I have worked with the Humane Society to combat for many years. Love, Carolyn

Those are the painful things kids never forget. Well written, sad and so unfair, but quite often the down side of childhood...kids have no idea the harm that comes from those taunts. ~ Carrie
