A Southern October

A Southern October A welcomed farewell to long hot Summer days As October slips in with a cooling new breeze Autumn steps forward with colorful displays As colors begin tinting the greens of the leaves As October slips in with a cooling new breeze Arrays of carved pumpkins line many porches As colors begin tinting the greens of the leaves Away are the days when the heat nearly scorches Arrays of carved pumpkins line many porches Autumn steps forward with colorful displays Away are the days when the heat nearly scorches A welcomed farewell to long hot Summer days Written: 10/01/2019 For: Poet’s October Pantoum Cash Prize Contest Sponsor: William Kekaula

A beautifully written pantoum Debra, not the easiest poetry form to write. Good luck in the contest.

Beautiful. I attempted this, but had my sentences too long. I'm sure this one will do wonderfully in the contest. God bless you
