A Carpenter With Healing In His Hands

“Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.” Matt 4:23 NIV Once there was a carpenter with healing in His hands. These miracles of healing no-one could understand. Because of His simple beginnings, He was able to demonstrate God’s power through His hands; human but of divine state. This carpenter healed the blind and lepers as well. Even raised from the dead—Lazarus the world to tell. He told the people, He was the Son of God; not to head an earthly kingdom, but few did applaud. A carpenter with healing power—how could He be a threat? To the nation of Israel, His death caused no regret. For this lowly carpenter came with healing in His hands, to save a world lost in sin, but they didn’t understand. This carpenter’s life and death was such a unique example. He came to show the world, of God’s great love, a sample. Copyright © Maureen LeFanue 2007-2012
