Angels of grace

Weak I became
Wrapped in a heavy cloak of guilt and shame
Lost and unable to reclaim 
My feet were once firm 
now trembled with fear
Afraid to stand before the Lord, my heart unclear

But God, in his mercy, sent me angels of grace
Who listened to my story and showed a gentle face
They helped me rise reminding me

Mountain of lies

Dear loved one, It’s me your UNREQUITED LOVER. 
In hope I hoped that this day never unveil.
As your WHISPERS still roam free in brain, whispers 
and hisses of broken promises.
I nearly fumbled to open my heart once more, 
But I once trembled on your mountain of lies.

A shell of herself

The old wood framed home stood stark and abandoned, a
shell of herself, where now new homes were standing..
Rotted roped windows wept with the rains and rattled and
trembled with each passing train..
The once solid foundation now unmoored by silt causing the
aged house to lean, a precarious tilt..

The Scarecrow Trembled

He sat before a twisted wooden cross
whispering to an empty wind:

“It’s gone.” Dad
“the dream”
“it’s gone.”
“The earth is tired”
“tired as you used to get”
“and the sun”….
“even the sun
seems less forgiving.”

An old barn door rattled
its scrawny cat stalking
a passing noise.
A dust cloud drove
up the dirt road.

As he turned to leave
the scarecrow trembled
in an unknown darkness.

The earth trembled and all felt fear,
Some murmured a prayer.
Most ran out. oft tumbling the stair.
Faithless led to despair.

Apathy led to bars,
Others caused some crashed cars,
Most escaped to watch stars.

Sin dissembled.
The earth trembled.

The eyes from war swell from memory's mist
Of trees without limbs to hold up the sky
When serenity trembled to exist
Between crumbled bodies and death's moans cry
The sounds of hell and warm wind's stench of war
In the broken mind dark when the screams weigh
And dead faces lag on forevermore
To leave vacant the eyes from yesterday

Fiercely Trembled Quiver

'Twas a mystifying shiver,
made her insides quivery liquid
a flight of fancy such as none other,
they were like two ships passing
midst a steamy night's rendezvous,
whenever the poetry of a drab life 
appears to be stagnant & oppressive, 
she reminisces an endearing epoch 
whence earth vehemently shook &
in the way he made every last nuance
of devoured flesh

The earth trembled that day, 
The clattering sounds fused
With crying sounds
Could be heard from miles away,

The fear etched on the faces of many
The screams of pain resounding 
While they scramble to safety
Tramping each other in the process

It is impossible to escape
Without being traumatized 
Left with visible and invisible scars

Those lucky enough to be alive
Relay tales
