Taller Poems

Recompense

I can read it, perceive it
between the lines.

You wish I listened more
and stopped keeping score.

You'd like me to be taller
and my ears lobes smaller.

You feel my ties look cheap
with a suit too old to keep.

You dislike my laughter
and still will forever after.

You hope I would control
body noises from below.

My shoes you find a disgrace
for putting

Taller Than Twice

Taller than twice
I chose who I want to be
I will never stop my train
I know my destination
Is far from the many
No wonder am winning
I must be hyping
I must be who they dream of
Cos behind my back
Alot words that stabs my soul
Has been vomitted
By those I love and trusted
The world

Premium MemberMy Daddy Is Taller Than Your Daddy

My almond tree is prettier than your almond tree.
It sure is! Wow! It is gorgeous!
Pause to regroup.
My porch steps are glamorous; yours are drab and dowdy.
I cannot argue with this.
Pause to regroup.
My daddy’s taller than your daddy.
Who is my Daddy?
Don’t you know?
No. Do you?
Conversation takes a whole new turn.

Taller Scholar In a Parlor

Taller Scholar in a Parlor

Could always tell that he was a taller,
Student who had  become a scholar;
Did appall;
Know it all;
Presidential debate will be in parlor.

We have four grandchildren in our life and we love they came our way.
We remember when each was born…as if it was yesterday.

When they were merely babies we held them in our arms
and through the years we’ve been enchanted and captivated by their charms.

It’s fun to look back wistfully to a time when they were

Getting Taller

Lately I'm getting more slow
But also taller I know
Because when I bend down
To get to the ground
It's seems much farther to go!

Not Taller At All

Not Taller At All

There were birds in the garden. There were birds in the air.
There were birds on the rooftops. There were birds everywhere.
But one certain blackbird thought he could be best.
He flew to the chimney and sat there to rest.
"Look at me," shouted he. "I am looking at you.
If

Taller Than the Devil

Turn of the table, legs still brittle but able, fables of gold,
old storys told to make a man rise above most,
stronger than kronos, come right back like a yo yo, dont get yolo,
got one life in this cosmos,
i smell burnt toast, its a roast on me,
clearly nothings free cause in order to be,
you must

Taller That Humanity But Smaller Than the Gods

For whosoever feels lonely here is my hand
I guided up the sun, so you could see better

For whosoever fears doubt
I talked about myself failing you

Though you never saw it
You just noticed me

Standing like a statue
Right behind you all along

Hoping that you won't look back
For even I might start to reconsider

How tough I posed
