Spiked Lemonade Revolution

 


I may have written this for a band to sing,
or maybe I just wrote it for me.

Maybe it’s for the kids in dirty Vans,
or those reppin’ spiked Converse hi tops.

To the ones sipping ten dollar lemonades
 in the merch line?  This is for you. 
        

Spiked Lemonade

Blood tends to sparkle at midnight,
the kind that follows a hard bite;
Such fearsome calcium is trite;
Fangs in starlight, fangs in starlight;

There is no need to feel afraid,
of this decision that you made;
Just flood him with an accolade;
Spiked lemonade, spiked lemonade.

Spiked Drink Of Hurt

You had all the leverage
When you spiked my beverage
With a pill-- I am really sick
That was such a dirty trick
To pull on me, its not fair
Now I'm pulling out my hair
Seeing the worn off effects
I am trying to detect
What was really done to me
BY such a sneaky dirty creep
My shirt is ripped and torn apart

revived, towering graven godly desires
Man-made hypocrisy, Babel copied and stone xeroxed

Preach liberty and freedom,
practice slavery and oppression
A reared idol of falling stars wearing flagging stripes

For the lack of spiked heels
The carpet endured,
The linoleum had no dents,
Women walked with confidence,
Maintaining balance.

Mothers were more patient,
Children could tell the difference,
Husbands hugged their wives,
Cats no longer feared for their tails.

The world returned to normal,
Nations sought peace,
Wars ceased.

The tea is boiling on the stove,
the coffee is brewing in the pot,
the drunk is hungover,
breathe smelling like conyake and whiskey,
vodka goes straight down
when it is cold.
My tea is ready,
your tea is ready,
call the Queen of Hearts,
tell that whore,
her tea is ready.

The tall, green bottle of white whiskey,
moonshine, call it what you like,
burns the back

Who Spiked the Tea In the Teachers Mess

Things just don't add up, there's something not right, 
For half two on a Tuesday this is an unusual sight,?
The teachers are all laughing and havin de craic,
Mr. Cotter's doin the robot,
And so's Mr. Mac,
Mr. Doyle's walking backwards, sayin hello as he leaves,
Miss. Flynn's disco dancing like she just popped ten E's,
Mr. Harris has lost

A Lil'Piece of Heaven Spiked With Hell

Atop the roof he stands staring out over the city
 
A dark silhouette against the flashing lights
 
Watching the despair and vulnerability
 
Of the unaware mortals with lack of sight.
 
 
 
They don’t see his kind or the dangers that awaits
 
Around every turn; in every aspect of their lives
 
For only their suffering
