Naysayers Poems

Premium MemberGood Advice for Good-For-Nothing Naysayers

To suffer the insults of fools is a worthless thing.
     Dismiss, and disregard, unthinking, tactless fellows,
who've nothing else to do (like court jesters of a king)
     than peevishly chide, rail, protest in foolish bellows!

'Tis better to give praise, tribute, and to confer fame.

It is so peaceful today!
SHHHHHHH someone hisses.
You will ruin it.
But it really is a terrific day.
Three people give her a quick glare.
She laughs.
Not caring at all.
Optimism cannot be squelched.
She is in a wonderful mood.
Begins to sing Oh What a Wonderful Morning!
Loudly and proudly.
The naysayers are instantly in a bad mood.
Go home with glaring faces.
Silly

Enormous eggplants peppered her Easter hat.
They were a bit heavy, but purple and exact.
However did you find them, and what fun!
The old biddies said, when they saw her in the sun.

Why thank you, she said, pleased as all get out.
Her children had gone on, one with a little pout.
They were dying their eggs, with dye

Naysayers

Naysayers

You know those people whom
Always have something negative to say,
Got you believing you set your hopes too high.
I could care less about the things you say,
The only real voice that affects me
Is the one in my own home,
The people raising me day by day.

Understand that some dreams,
Are tougher than others,
And

To the Naysayers

To The Naysayers

I am not your saint;
Nor am I the bad seed.
An angel I ain't;
I have my own creed.

You won't guess my thoughts;
Or predict  what I do.
You don't get to call the shots;
I seek no guru.

I answer to few;
And none will dictate.
I have nothing to prove;
Futile is your need to negate.

Critique me as

Do you remember the naysayers?
They were rooting for you to fail
To give up after the first failed attempt
You didn't
You pressed on
You pushed through

You had to let go
Of a few people and a few things
Those lessons were learned
It didn't bring you to your knees to remain
It assisted you to

Naysayers

When someone tells you, “That won’t work!”
Just smile and keep it quiet.
Though contradictions sure can irk,
You really shouldn’t buy it.

For sticking to your guns, you’ll find,
Will benefit you greatly.
By letting others change your mind,
You’ll get messed up, innately.

The trust you feel within your gut
Is there for your survival.
Ignore it and quite soon, a rut
Will welcome

Premium MemberNaysayers Beyond the Lone Tree

A great tree, pulsated with its branches
Fingers grouped, lifting skyward enhances
Open-minded intelligence eases
Brings cool faceted multi-hued teases

Showers of snow, filled with frozen water
Leaves trails of white glory, all cold matter
Watchful time escapes the wasted form here
Torment ignites fiercely in the field choir

Solo baritone is the sound of night
Where the tree shines so blissfully of might
Alone,
