If Life Did Not Have Glitches

If life did not have glitches,
Then of what would we complain?
There’d be endless founts of riches
And no one would be in pain.

All our nervous tics and twitches,
Since they all would be in vain,
Would just vanish, as would itches
And from kvetching we’d refrain.

Though this fantasy bewitches,
In our lives it’s very plain,
We must cope with all the

I was breezing along having fun,
making quick plans and getting things done,
but then up jumped a glitch,
such an odious hitch.
Thus, I found myself under the gun!
 
I was all packed and ready to go

Face time
There you are.

You're a camera obscura, a broken bell's rings,
You made me dance slowly on sad phantom strings.
You always had the slightly off-color touch,
Your insensitive skin never softened up much.

Went to the pub for a Souvla Pitta and a pint or two
Sat there chatting for a while with the usual crew.
Came home to work on my poems and story,
My monitor died of a fault I couldn't see.

I watch from a distance as all four corners unfold.
Stars fall from the sky and Mountains fall in the Seas.
And in the flowerbeds the blooms wither away fleeing with bees.
The Sun strikes down upon the Earth revealing a story untold.

The Moon stands guard and the trees stand up straight.
