Birdcage Poems

The Birdcage

The heart is a tapestry loosely sewn together with thread, each string a different section of the brain. Connecting the family string to the feelings string, the likes to the dislikes. All the knots representing the messy flow that's you.

You have stories, feelings, and thoughts to share, knots where memories have been blended together.

Heart In Birdcage

To the man with the key,

The tall slanky man has the key to the lock,
A large rusty lock attached to my cage,
Release me, Release me, Release me,
He unlocks my cage with his key, his words,
Set me afree, into a locked cage I pour,
Release me, Release me, Release my heart in birdcage,

Gilden Birdcage

Her lips dripped with honey.
Bee's nuzzled lovingly under her chin,
And crawled across her ethereal face.
Smooth white silk,
Marble floors.
Gardens full of flowers.

By oval patterns, we still fly

We gather mirrors of the sky
So close, our dome's heavenly blue
By oval patterns, we still fly
Our feathered

Bomb In a Birdcage

There is a bomb in the bird cage,
Yet the wimpy caged bird sings.
They caught a Bird of the summer,
But it flee when the winter begun.

Our travels through alien lands
Warmed our cold feeble hearts.
Sojourners from a dark brutal past
Marching into an evolving limelight.

We journey through the broken doors,
And from the rusting corners of the cage.
Yet they

Birdcage

Forced me into the birdcage
nervous while plundering
The lash around my neck
result of blundering
Awakened my wrath
vigorous equally thundering
Lost in panic,
facade of a dervish wondering.
