Health Sonnet

An apple a day keeps the doctor away
This note helped my good health sway
Yet, harm has come to my clay
Full of rot and muck it is, I must say!
It started when full became the ashtray
And empty lay my bottles of Chardonnay!

Vices and diseases filled my life
How hard it is to carry this strife
A Blessed solace seemed the little puff
I never thought it would make me so rough!
Regretful, I remembered the apple
Baneful, I found only death’s shadow in the aisle!

O Beautiful Entity, Imperfect Creation of the Creator
Glorify your Health for thou art thine own Protector!

Apple's Day

An Apple a day keeps the doctor away
Or so my mother would say
My granny said the same
To keep the ailments tame

A little tummy ache
Many times I would fake
Immediately mama would stand
With an apple in hand

A little sniff when weather turned cold
Thankfully would keep the school on hold
Soon granny would be beside
With an apple sliced

A heat stroke I would suffer
Going out without cover
My mama would be near
Giving an apple she held dear

Both mama and granny would love to say
This is an apple’s day, an apple’s day
All the sickness would melt
If with an apple a child dealt.
Inspired by the saying--- An apple a day keeps the doctor away.

AMAZING APPLE

            AMAZING APPLE Double Acrostic

An Apple a day keeps the Doctor away.
Mesmerized Eve tasted to bite and ate half.
Adam ate rest half as offered by Eve.
Zeal, vigor, wit, wisdom achieved by both.
            Inevitable intimacy happened.
Naked couple learnt well to dress themselves.
            Great pair to start civilization.

Apple ripened, easily fell on ground.
           Paradoxical seemed to scientist.
           Perceived by physicist Isaac Newton.
           Law of Gravitation discovered.
‘Eat an apple everyday: Stay stong and healthy.'

APPLE PEOPLE

The first tale made in the heaven talks about Adam and Apple
Apple is in the lives of people as a fruit of humble
All the gentlemen in gender born with a throaty Adam's Apple
Not New York but a song of Robert Emerick goes as Big Apple
"Apple Penne"(woman) also a song in Tamil composed comparing women to Apple
All beginners in English fondly say A for Apple
"An Apple a day keeps the Doctor away" as used in simple
Apple is dear and near to all people of able or disable!

Human genes set to the sense the one between Five and seven
The DNA of the Adam's Apple says Human, not from the monkey but Men and women

The Heaven is to home the Mankind is the God's intention
God asked Adam by a toss of test, whether Hell or Heaven
There came the Satan with an Apple and made Adam to say Hell not Heaven

Adam went against the Lord and for Satan is very old and in history
He was thrown to fall on the mountain of Adam's peak in Sri Lanka's territory

Adam breached the trust of God and was at the fault
Why is the whole mankind is punished to be in this Hell for no their fault?

An Apple a Day

People started returning apples to my store.
Because of word of mouth, they don't want them anymore.
I got pretty irritated because of all of those returns.
People don't want my apples because they have worms.
People don't want them even though I've started selling them half price.
They don't want my apples because they're smart enough to think twice.
Some say an apple a day keeps the doctor away but I disagree.
Because if you eat one of my apples, a doctor is what you'll need.
I'm unhappy and if you could see my face right now, you would see a frown.
The health department just examined my apples and they've shut me down.

An Apple A Day Keeps The Doctor Away

A beautiful nurse named Angelica
Is working at the big medical center;
She looks so fine each and every day,
Wearing her uniform and feeling better.

A physician in the same hospital
Is wanting to court the wonderful lady;
He knows that one of his employees
Has got a crush on that nice nurse on duty.

One day the doctor sends the employee
To the hospital branch in the far-flung place;
The latter is terribly worried,
For he will be out for seven working days.

The lonely guy designs a strategy
To counter the plan of the crafty surgeon;
The former is so afraid to lose
The heart of the nurse into dark oblivion.

So he buys seven apples as a present
To the nurse and to remove himself at bay;
To win her hands the proverb says:
"An apple a day keeps the doctor away".

Fruit

personalities are like fruits
some work together
some clash
varying and unpredictable

pineapples
are hard on the outside
sweet nice refreshing on the inside
too much and it can be too acidic, too harsh

durians are by preference
loved by some, hated by many

honeydew, a breath of fresh air
brings laughter to every conversation
always sweet, always nice

banana, soft and delicate
the slightest touch and it’s bruised

pomegranate
takes hard work to gain trust
rewarding and satisfying in the end

an apple a day keeps the doctor away
basic
loved but boring

cherries, a classic
sweet, sometimes sour

and in the end
everyone has the potential
to become a Popsicle
