If you're going to wage a war, there's a few things you must do
Like having robust logistics in place and a battle hardened crew
You'll need spies to gather intelligence, of your chosen foe
Keep one step ahead at all times and be always in the know.
If you are being threatened in any way, then your war is justified
But before you engage try dialogue, at least you can say you tried
Be totally honest with all your armed forces, be truthful at any cost
Because if you don't then the war you started, is already lost
Other world nations may impose sanctions, so act before they hit
Ensure that all your armed forces, have spare parts for their kit
Build up essential supplies at home, like electronics, drinks and food
If people have to go without these things you'll see a change in mood.
Make sure you avoid civilians, be careful what targets you choose
Or any support you get from other nations, you will quickly lose
Give plenty of advanced warnings, so that civilians can get away
Or you will be charged with war crimes and you will have to pay.
Also prepare for a lengthy war; because things may not go to plan
Keep plenty of reserves on standby, food and ordnance for every man
Ensure they have the right equipment; the weather can quickly change
You certainly don't want all your supplies, bogged down or out of range.
And if you suffer heavy casualties, all the facts you mustn't hide
Tell your people the real truth and it will keep them on your side
And don't ever threaten other nations, who don't agree with you
You will get their backs up and they'll oppose everything you do.
Don't ever underestimate, your opponents strong will to fight
"It won't matter not one iota, that you have superior military might
If your war is a just one, you'll get all the support you need
Because if it isn't I tell you this, you'll be a sorry loser indeed.
Spreading propaganda is important and it's something you must do
Do your utmost best to convince the world, to what you're saying is true
But don't try spreading fake news or the whole world try to deceive
They'll see through all your scheming, and your lies they won't believe.
Listen to all your trusted advisors, take on board what they say
Don't try and do it on your own, because it might not go your way
If you pay heed to what I've written then to wage a war you'll know
And if you choose to ignore and lose, then I'll say "Well I told you so".
