Long Live the Queen - For Contest

She’s eighty-nine years of age So wise she’s quite a sage As long as she’s sane Long may she reign I do hope she draws a good wage She married Prince Phillip who’s Greek His gaffes sometimes make him a geek When he opens his mouth His brains they go south The Queen cringes when he starts to speak They live in London in a palace so grand The finest royal residence in the land Waited on hand and foot I guess they will stay put Crowds are entertained by a marching band Prince Charles is King in waiting His mother’s reign he is berating Banana skins on the floor Superglue on the door Some hope he will never be King He married Camilla Parker Bowles She loves to drive off in the ‘Rolls’ Before he was married to Di Camilla had caught his eye And now his heart she controls Contest: Long Live The Queen Sponsor: Judy Konos 05~09~15

Enjoyed reading your tribute poem to our late Queen Elizabeth11,it would have been better if William was the king, along with Kate as our Queen.

Ha ha this is a great gentle parody on the royals. I like to read about them so I found this entertaining. Camilla does seem to be such a gold digger, a crown digger I must say. Hey dint know the English queen married a greek wow. What a blend of royals eh. And that pic of her youth is the most glamorous portrait of hers that I ever saw. And I did giggle at the king in waiting line. Hey prince williams got the heir right? I do wish his princess doesn't become anorexic bulemic like Pretty Diana. I tink she looked real lanky in one pic.The paparazzi affect them I feel. Kudos.

I had to have a bit of fun here Connie - the Queen is a remarkable lady - still ruling at 89 years old ... personally I would love to see William as next King and i know there are many who feel the same. I think Catherine his wife is the best thing to happen to the Royal family in years:-) Hugs Jan x

Superb write. So nice to know more about the Queen. In such great limericks. "When he opens his mouth, his brains they go south" had me in splits ...entertaining, informative and awesome. #7.
