Admitting painful cause of childhood fright
I would cringe hearing … “Ghosts appear tonight
especially to the cowardly nervous…”
Such tortured me with panic so grievous.
Yet, in pretense, my heart struggled to cope
while loathing ghost stories that vanquished hope
robbing me once of bliss I yearned to claim…
Such propped me to face weakness against shame.
Nurtured by parents midst loving embrace
in home showered with mercy, truth and grace
I was shielded from attacks of ghost-blow…
Such drove me to soar toward courage-glow.
Learning that ghost-shivers result to pain
I sought help from the Lord Who gives peace-gain
since with His salvation comes victory…
Such granted me triumph from misery.
Grateful for imparted divine nature
wrought by Christ toward steadfast faith’s venture
I praise Him for eternal life’s blest zeal…
Such made me His own with Holy Ghost*’s seal.
Propelled now to serve through the Holy Ghost
I do reach-out with my best and utmost
geared by the Almighty’s compassion-hand…
Such moves me to share kindness, heaven-brand.
Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.
