We had two choices after the ballgame in Chicago. We could dwell on what happened the previous game or previous games, or we could look forward to what was in front of us and try to make something of that opportunity. That's what our guys chose to do.

We're really just trying to take that real slow. The biggest thing to me is make sure he's healthy at the end of this period. Hopefully, he'd be full speed by June when we get going with the summer program, if in fact he does get that sixth year.

I suppose you can try to punt the ball out of bounds, but that's risky business, too. It's going to take a real team effort to try and contain (Ginn). We're really going to have to be exacting with what we do.

Everybody got distracted by last week's game. Last week's game doesn't mean crap. It's what you do today. It goes both ways on that one.

The biggest thing about that last play was when the ball was snapped, we had 11 guys do what they were supposed to do, ... It wasn't a fluke play.

I think the key thing probably was the leaders on our team. After that day was over and we came back in on Sunday, I think the leaders chose to look forward rather than backward, and we really didn't dwell on the circumstances in terms of what our record was or that we were going to walk into two tough situations. We knew we had two tough challenges ahead of us and just got back onto focusing on what we could do to get back into winning ways.

It's amazing when you go through their two-deep how many fourth- and fifth-year guys are there, and the offensive line is the focal point of that. They're not just older, they're experienced and good football players that are aggressive and tough. It will be a challenge for us up front (on defense).

It's a little bit of a new experience for us as coaches, because we haven't had this same group, minus the freshmen, since last camp [last fall].

I think he's going to be fine, but obviously he couldn't have come back in the second half. You don't put a guy back in when he gets dinged like that.

The things I remember more about Chuck as a player were the leadership qualities he had. He was a very strong leader of our football team, and a very tough player. People on the outside may not appreciate it as much, but you see a guy who's having a hard time walking certain weeks, and then he'd go out and play. And that was a big part of the reason we were so successful during that period.

Two years ago, Florida probably underestimated us a little. That's not going to happen this year.

It was pretty clear after the game that they probably didn't take the game as seriously as they would have in retrospect. I think that happens sometimes, it probably happens when we're involved more than others because we're not the sexiest-looking outfit on film.

Any concerns they may have had offensively coming in, it looks like they cured them today.

We did a lot of things, especially in the first half, that were pretty uncharacteristic of our football team. We knew coming in that we couldn't make a lot of mistakes, but we did.

I wouldn't say it's come right back, and we won't know until game time if it's back totally. But the last month we were playing pretty well on offense and doing a lot of good things, so obviously we're hoping we can get back to that point.
