Obviously, you've got to make the chase first, so first things first - get in the chase. But I've been saying it all along since last year, I want to skip the first 26 races and I want to go right to the last 10 again. That's where they pay the money. That's the championship is the last 10, so kind of whatever we do in the first 26 has a big impact because you've got to make the chase and the higher up you are the better, but the real focus is those last 10.

I don't really want to win races like that. That doesn't take a whole bunch of talent to knock a guy out of the way. Racing tight is one thing, but to get a run in the middle of the corner and get the guy's bumper all at once - it is what it is.

Right in the rule book, clearly, 'any device or anything that alters the height of the car beside the jack bolt' ââ?¬â? which you put the (wrench) down in and turn and (it) raises and lowers the car ââ?¬â? 'is illegal.'

It wasn't the car I was thinking I was going to have. But the guys did a great job in the pits, and I kept it off the wall and didn't get any flat tires. We just did everything we needed to do, really. ... We wanted a top-five (finish), so we can't really complain.

We got ourselves into a little bit of a hole in Daytona but I have no doubt that this team will turn it around this weekend. We're taking a car that's already been to victory lane and we think it's going to perform even better this season. Here it's a whole different skill level and handling package and stuff. It takes probably a different skill set or different category of skills at Daytona -- where you position your car or how the air is and how fast your car is, so it's just a lot different.

We need a strong run to rebuild the momentum we have lost in the last few weeks, ... A win this weekend would be a great rebound from the points we lost last week and a victory in Ford's backyard is always something we want.

We can't dwell on the past. We just have to bounce back at Phoenix. Our goal now is just try to make the top 10 (by the second Richmond race).

It would have been a different race if we could have pitted for tires with 16 laps to go, but that just didn't happen,

It was pretty incredible to race a guy like that for the win, it was pretty neat,

This is what people pay their money to come see ... is big crashes at Talladega. Everybody loves it.

We're going out for steak dinners and we're finishing in the top five and we're third in points and everything's great, ... It couldn't be better.

The lap was absolutely perfect. Down in Turns 3 and 4 is where I got all my speed. I just got right back to the gas earlier than I ever have. When you have a perfect car, it's easy to drive a fast lap.

I'm pretty optimistic. We've got a really, really good car and know the race track fairly well. We know what we need to do to win.

We share information really well together ââ?¬â? all the teams do ââ?¬â? and we give each other racing room, ... It's fun to race with Matt and these other guys. Man, it's just unbelievable that our cars run this good.
