To Dance Under The Stars
Early on in the beginning,
you sought to make my dream come true.
You brought me out beneath the stars
so that I could dance with you!
At first, you sat and watched me
as I smiled and I twirled.
I don't know what all else you saw,
but those moments changed my world.
And when I least expected it
your hands were 'round my waist.
You'd lifted me into the air-
(and) I danced with stars in space!
I never knew it possible
(that) I could fly so high and free.
And till the day I die, my love, -
(be) grateful you gave that to me.
Not only did you grant my wish,
and help me touch the sky...
(but) for the first time in forever,
you'd truly helped me feel alive.
