You Turned the Lights Back On (For Carol)

there are these
nine muses
who
are good
friends with
Apollo.

there use to
be ten
but
one of them
lives
with me
now.

I
worry often
about
losin' her
back to the Gods
and
never seein'
her again.

so
now I want
to dip
her
in ambrosia
to make
her
immortal
just like
Thetis
did for
Achilles.

but
there's always
gonna'
be a weak
spot
where love
and
life
can just
pack-up
and
leave.

but
for now
she's my muse
and
I love her.

her
name is
Carol.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
