Thankful Is Not Strong Enough a Word

I may not be 
The object of your intense affection
As once I was

That does not 
Change your place as the  
Object of mine

Maybe it should but 
The imbalance does not feel unfair
The world just continues 

And I get to 
Love
Nothing wrong with that
