Opposites Attract

She was born with fire
Hot enough to burn bones to ash.
She was roaring
Screaming for home.
Then someone
Something
Put her out.

He was ice
Wind
Flying and chilling
Cold enough to fracture
Shatter someone.
But gentle
For the flower girl and then
nothing.
No more garden
He covered it all in ice until
Every petal crumbled.

Eons later
The fire met the ice and both were fierce,
Both were empty.
Threatening to fall
Into the darkness.
Saving each other,
Saving themselves.

The scorching flame
Licked the freezing winds
And magic scarred
Hearts and left.
Shadows sitting
Waiting for
Fire Heart
And the Hawk.
