My Favorite Christmas Present

My favorite Christmas present
a bunch of lilies white as a milky crescent
by street children who reside in the slums
came to meet me to offer them some alms

I saw almighty residing in their eyes
a gleam of joy enshrined in my heart in arise

This is a precious and touching rhyme. It might read better if written 'heart arise' instead of 'heart in arise.' Somehow that last 'in' threw the good flow off for me, but I do truly like the poem ... CayCay
