Child of His

Keep going
Keep pushing
Pushing out the hate
Pushing out the words
Words that spit like venom
Words that roll of the tongue with ease
Ease of not thinking
Ease of hurt
Hurt is the easiest to inflict
Hurt normally goes unnoticed
Unnoticed when he doesn’t love
Unnoticed he shows me my worth
Worth nothing to him
Worth hurting his child
Child of God I am
Child of his I am not
AM
NOT!

Needs work Bubbles, as I gather this was only a first draft, but it is a powerful ensemble and hit me hard for the protagonist. At some point this child of God will flourish, without need of a man right now. Best. Thomas
