In Darkness Embrace

Darken the light
or my shadows will take flight
let my demon's plague
and my ghosts never fade

The heavens cast me out
but the night took me under her wings
Now this is my home
where the darkness never ends

Deep in shadows
haunted souls ooze death's fragrance
eerie chatters heard in the still night
voices of castoffs from above

Twilight's glorious descent
delights and tease my distorted soul
hidden by a face of innocence
and smiles that never meets the eye

This void consumes
its evil makes me supreme
My ink now bleeds dark mists
emanating sinister words and horrific truths.

Sometimes there is great comfort in the darkness, and we wallow in the pain of it. Very nice write with good imagery and word choice. Welcome! Jan
