You Would Never See Me Cry

Weaker then
Stronger now
No fear in the depth of pain
Only resolve and deathly steel
Wishes and love’s sparks
Now broken bridges and stale tears
Fulfillment once sought, now falling ashes

Back when both our lights shone
They shone so big and bright
Encompassing, engulfing the dark
And then yours faded, but mine still stood
Tougher still, fighting shadows
Chasing the loneliness back to nothingness

No fears anymore
Somewhere up in that place
A backbone is grown
No matter how much it hurts
How much you try to bring me down
Or the ocean suddenly catches fire
You would never see me cry

In Darkness Embrace

Darken the light
or my shadows will take flight
let my demon's plague
and my ghosts never fade

The heavens cast me out
but the night took me under her wings
Now this is my home
where the darkness never ends

Deep in shadows
haunted souls ooze death's fragrance
eerie chatters heard in the still night
voices of castoffs from above

Twilight's glorious descent
delights and tease my distorted soul
hidden by a face of innocence
and smiles that never meets the eye

This void consumes
its evil makes me supreme
My ink now bleeds dark mists
emanating sinister words and horrific truths.

Twilight

Every twilight the nightmares are the same
Of a dug up grave with my headstone
Inviting, like the insides of my favorite dream
With a soothing feel of finally finding rest
Most times I linger close to its edge
Wishing I could jump in and let it all end
At least in that small confining space
No one would reach in and hurt me anymore

It’s a perfect way out of all this pain
That tears and self hurts don’t do well to solve
Those who pretend to care would still leave
Leaving me broken than I was before
This night I would finally let go
Putting my foot in and allow it swallow me
Because in that small confining space
No one can reach in and hurt me anymore
