Insanity

The hand that lets go will find its grip
The planted foot will surely slip
an open eye is often blind
a heavy head can close the mind
the leaning ear may not listen
choices may not become a decision
an intelligent person may not be smart
a broken one is still a heart

By Distaining do you interact
through separation you find contact
conflict gives way to solution
through comfort ability comes evolution
by falling you will learn to rise
power always finds demise
that hand that writes must learn to read
a man of stone must learn to bleed

Through walking you earn your reasons to run
starlight is not but far off suns
the seed that's dropped begins to grow
surrender all reason and you will know
the beach surrenders to the sea
the wind, it dances with the trees
all is found, and all forgot
put aside but always sought

In nervousness you find your calm
worship none and sing your psalm
and in the dark the light will show
and with your cage you will grow
your mind will know no limit of space
your feet will find no limit of place
keeping your mind open and your mouth closed
your enemies may not be your foes
