Anguish of the Enlightened P1

Eyes of the empty
peering through a window
as rain falls upon it
the dust of yesterday washed away
by the anguish of today

truth long descending into fiction
becoming everything and nothing
to become one with the world locked inside a prison
with predetermined paths set before you
by others who are only relics of the past

a past so broken, a nightmare life long
only certain dreams can be reached
how can my dreams be yours or hers be his?
material only limits the powerful potential of the mind
desire only weakens your own identity
Identity is preserved through indifference
thee ability to accept the world the way it is
and not to play a part in its manipulation

over analyzed dysfunction
in a world of chaos
preoccupied forging empires
pyramids built with the blood of slaves
the temples of long destroyed faiths

idols of gods left to idol
songs now left unsung
beginnings that have long ended
the stones of the earth
manipulated to please the minds great influence

cultures of the ancients on display in an archive
to remind, remember, but never change
a wise word to whisper
falling upon the deaf ears of the headstrong
a sacred burial ground
buried underneath a parking lot
remembering lives long forgotten
forgotten lies long lived into a truth

Evil and good are a duality of a mirror image
and are so often the same

Let Go

Remembering things long forgiven
forgiven things long forgot
forgetting the absolute
remembering this...absolutely

Possibillities

Obscured visions radically mild
distorted scenes routinely wild
the meaning lost, correctly filed
cannot exist without alternative
to stay in silence is to be assertive
to paint in reds, but shadow blue
withholding thoughts you thought you knew
underneath each choicest step
lies a labyrinth of worldly depth
and just when your mind is put to rest
a new adventure, with every breath
for vastness of life, without its limits
choices and behavior you exhibit
take all your wonder to the edge
and find your heaven in the end

A Memmory

Lips of my bluest dream
fond in memory so serene
found in places now unseen
for reasons long forgot it seems

your embrace warm, and soft as silk
silhouettes of summer days, hours filled
happiness unmeasured by inch or mile
smiles in my memories, once in awhile

Becoming Your Demons

This life of guilt and shame
sad to say that evil knows my name
and you swear you understand
but you will never know

This pain down deep inside
chooses to feast upon my pride
underneath a veil of thought
silence is the word

inner anger that is made
manifest itself through my rage
until this inner animal
I cant control

For all the pain I am taught to feel
For all the love I thought was real
I am haunted
by the shadow on the wall

For he has seen my darkest days
witnessed me in my wicked ways
and he has cursed me
all along the way

Sometimes I get face to face
bottom of the bottle calls my name
and there is nothing left to feel
but this beast inside

my skin begins to crawl
as I throw my fist against the wall
and nothing feels this pain that I release

Surrounded by my ghosts
begging me to sell my soul
I have become the thing that I feared most

November

Unto the stars, I rest my eyes
the night confesses, my spirit cries
when darkness looms, and the sons forgot
the shadows release their hidden thoughts

through pain and toil, the mind resides
rest uneasy, truthful lies
long desired, final reflection
the cycle repeats its lost connection

Once the Frost Is Gone

The colors gold red and brown
riding the wings of some forgotten memory
that glisten off the morning dew
mirroring the reflection of what was
as leaves cover your sorrow
upon the empty ground
that seems to imitate familiar cycles
swirling in the autumn breeze
to only be locked in winters chains
freezing and stiffening the delicate colors
you crush beneath your feet
as accidental as the role of the dice
mixed with the familiar smells of autumn
weaving Its bliss between your fingers
impossible possibilities become you
fiery fumes expunge your desires
upon a world dying in cold
to only reawaken once the frost is gone

A Toast

Of simple rolls to playfully wisp
to a beauty of a lovers kiss
to forgetting the day, as children at play
to knowing where to be, but still to stay
to simple words with complex meanings
to living life's fantasy, so near to dreaming
to being disorganized, and out of sorts
to keeping things beautiful, and short of course

Hope

What is the sun? without the rain?
Where is the life? after the slain?
How is there pleasure? without pain?
hardened through your dismal sights
drowned your sorrow in forgotten nights
When worlds twisted through and through
sun may rise become a new
hope must always hold to grip
even through darkness you may slip
even a sickly blackened heart of hate
can be turned and churned to seek a sake
do not take easy life to task
for good and bad may never last
instead endure the troubled road
and find you have the strength for so
for suffering is always meant to pass
to keep honey sweet, and lengths to laugh
the road is full of twist and turns
some may freeze, some may burn
some may torment, some may test
all take courage in every step...

A Word To the Burdened

Escape the chains that rob you so
for your story that has gone untold
the pain you felt, the lies you fold
the scares you bare, the hate you hold
Fore the strength in you, that you confine
remains hidden deep down somewhere inside
can crush that strife, you try to hide
you have the will, just find the pride
break the shackles that bind your mind
for faith to overcome will come in time
leave your life of woes behind
to live in darkness, greatest of crimes
enter the light, let it blind your eyes
embrace your past, find compromise
for what does not kill you, feeds your resolve
and no longer will you be at odds
but above your hardships, day to day
escape the chains, stop running away
