Mother

She was once the thing that made my tears end.
She always knew how to make everything better.
She would make the monsters go away.
She could brighten a rainy day.

Now she takes and never gives.
Now she is the cause of my pain.
Now she is the reason that I can't sleep.
Now she is the reason I weep.
