Once Upon a Time...

Once upon a time I was a little girl.
Once upon a time I used to dane and twirl.

Once upon a time I knew true joy.
Once upon a time I had a little boy.

Once upon a time I was madly in love.
Once upon a time I got tired of pushes and shoves.

Once upon a time all my goodness disappeared.
Once upon a time my head finally cleared.

Once upon a time I began to understand,
That my peace and happiness relied on me, and no man.

My Little Angles

My baby boys with there little toys,
They tot across the sand.

They fall and hurt there knee
but the pain is more on me.

Mommy's kisses make there little world spin
and I am faced with new beginings to begin.

As I tuck them in at night
I am filled with delight.

If no one eles in the whole world loves me
Mommy's little angles they will always be.

Mother

She was once the thing that made my tears end.
She always knew how to make everything better.
She would make the monsters go away.
She could brighten a rainy day.

Now she takes and never gives.
Now she is the cause of my pain.
Now she is the reason that I can't sleep.
Now she is the reason I weep.

Constant Changes

Constant changes!
Oh my God!
from one to two
and two to three.
Where can I find me?

Constant changes!
from you and me
to you and her
to you and...
Who am I just a blur?

Constant changes!
from a home to a house
and a house to a shack
to a... Oh my god
Where the hell am I at?

Constant changes!
from a child to a mother
and a mother to a lover
to a....
What am I now?

Constant changes!
I don't know if I've
been used, or broken
abandoned or abused.
What can I do?
Who am I?
Where can I be me?
How can I make you see me
and not through me?
