Help Me

Fading in the night.
Taking my last breath.
Just walking along
And waiting for my death.

Not that it'll be tragic
Or that anyone else will suffer,
But I think through all this
I should've been getting
tougher.

I doubt anyone cares
Whether I'm dead or alive.
They just sat back
And watched me try to survive.

I'm dead inside anyway
So, what does it matter if I'm
gone?
No one cared enough to
Prove me wrong.

I'm not of this world.
I'm a lonely soul.
If only I had others
To save me from this hole.

The darkness has closed in.
I'm gone inside myself.
I have locked myself away
Until I can find some help.

What a poem. So deep, so dark and so very sad. Most poets do have a sad and lonely life. It does come with the territory. I hope that you do find someone in the real world to love and care for you. We all do need someone in our life. Take care and keep writing.
