The Wind

The Wind

It’s a dark night

I hear the whistling

through the trees

“Pitter patter” the sound of the rain falling

I closed all the windows and all the doors

I can still hear the rustling of the leaves

on the ground

It is Fall my favorite season of all

A chilly windy rainy night in mid-September

The wind sounds like wolves howling or like spirits who make noise at night after dark when the spirit world is closest to this world.

Very real and compelling descriptions you have here. I like your little note too. Perhaps the note could be worked into the poem itself; I believe that would give it an extra dimention.

Hi Ayesha, the two things I love about September, are, when the wind changes, and October is near... :) You did well, many lines were descriptive, I can hear the howling wind. Yes, Like a wolf... and my granddaughter, who loves to howl like a wolf... :) Awesome poem...LINDA
