Horizon

Horizon is just over the hill
One step forward, two back
Am I lost? Standing still?
C’mon climb, pick up the slack

It has to be close
No longer color blind
Come rain, sleet, or snow
Fear is left behind

Did you know I hear you?
Childsplay in my daydreams
I know who you are
Feeling your soul no matter what it seems

I regret not giving you my best
That’s the least you deserve
Let’s put our love to the test
You’re just past the next curve

Let my love comfort you
Picture me when you sleep
Trying to conquer this mountain to prove
Determination runs deep

Helping hands fall insincere
C’mon get up, can’t give up
Wipe the dirt and tears
Love doesn’t give me a choice to stop

I can’t reach you, I can’t
You’re fading further
My miles don’t make a dent
Strength starts to wither

Please god help me live
Striving for my goal
All my strength is what I have to give
I’m searching for my soul

The world gave up on me
It pushes you further away
But my will it now sees
I need you here to stay

I’ll keep fighting
Looking for the horizon
Please keep me strong
So I make it to you, my babies,
my angels, my girls,
and my son.
