For You, Stepmother

You Entered My Life
So Many Years Ago.

Another Woman Was Found
In My Father’s Heart.

Many Struggles Were Ahead
So Scared Was I, Uncertain Were you.

The Greatest Friend
I Never Knew I Needed.

The Strength You Possess,
That You Willingly Shared.

Another Hole I Was Unaware
Is No Longer There!

Goodbye

How do you say goodbye,
When a father starts to cry,
A mother’s heart has been broken,
Too many words left unspoken.

The grief a sister must face,
Without you here she cannot replace.
Friendships made so long ago,
A bond that will never be let go.

A wife must stand alone,
With a strength she’s never known.
A daughter that has your eyes,
Whispers to daddy in the sky.

Goodbye to a son, a brother and friend;
A husband, a father to the end.
You will be missed by one and all,
So listen for us whenever we call.

My Only Sunshine!

Where have you gone my one true light?
Shining so bright inside my heart.
Full and whole with you by my side.

Whenever needed you were always around.
Never ending love and great big hugs.
Gave all to me whatever it may be.

Left alone with no light at home.
Dull and without my heart has become.
So dark and dim have you left me.

Will I find someone to replace you?
Or shall I always walk in the dark.
My sunshine, my only sunshine.

Mommy's Baby

Dark hair, dark eyes,
A beautiful surprise.

Precious and new,
A blanket in blue.

Another girl you see
A reflection of me.

No No More!

I ache and I break
No no more!

I yearn and I burn
No no more!

I dream and I scream
No no more!

I cry and I die
No no more!

I need and I bleed
No no more!

I will not ache,
I will not break
No no more!

I will not yearn,
I will not burn
No no more!

I will not dream,
I will not scream
No no more!

I will not cry,
I will not die
No no more!

I will not need,
I will not bleed
No no more!

No no more
Because I will soar!

For Dad

An example of strength and intelligence
you have been.

Someone we admire
Each of us in our own way.

You’ve given us your guidance & love
To prepare us for the world.

Now you sit & wait without interfering
For us to come to you.

You are always ready, willing,
And able but still you wait.

And as you wait we also wait
For what may come.

None of the little ones,
only the big ones.

We hope as you hope
It does not comes.

Then it happens, you wipe it away
With your strength & intelligence.

Then again you wait to provide us
With your guidance & love.

My New Heart

How quickly you came,
Without even a name.

Different you may be,
But still perfect for me.

You are a gentle soul,
Allowing me a new role.

I love you more everyday,
So please won’t you stay.

I finally see some light.
Starting to shine bright.

A new heart is now mine.
Will it ever be my sunshine?
