Heartbreak

Heartbreak,
intense sorrow
over shattered feelings,
rhythm beats fast when finding
new love.

A Fleeting Love

As time flies by, I keep asking why
your love for me happened to die.
I can’t understand how I failed to satisfy
your needs, your wants and your desires.
For my endless love for you never seemed to tire.

Maybe it was me trying to electrify
you’re every idea of total fantasy.
Or was it my lack of sympathy.
O please, O Please let me rectify,
my previous disregard of sincere empathy.

Let me hold your heart so gracefully
and provide you total serenity.
I’m here; I’m here to hold you tenderly.
To give you what you desire and need.
Please guide me back with sympathy
where you want me and I am supposed to be.

I know, I know you believe it’s over
And I tend to believe you but please
Allow me to a second chance to appease.
For I believe our love is something more
Than just a passing attempt for us to agree
our love has ultimately come to bore.

For there is no way our love is done
Cause after all is said and done I have only begun.
I’m sorry your heart has taken its leave
So maybe it is time for us to grieve
But I happen to believe and tend to agree
That your soul still believes in me.

A Slow Meaningless Death

No matter how hard we tried
we could never see things eye to eye.
As days flew by we tried to justify
our commitment, yet our love continued to die.

As we tried to find a way to simplify
our love for each other and quantify
the reasons our passions never reached the sky.
Again the days flew by and we continued to ask why?

Tomorrow did come and go yet it signified
how we continued to mollify
the reasons for living thru all the lies.

We shall never understand why
our lives together made us cry.
Cause our fate was that of an aging butterfly
that eventually ceased to fly.

A Hesitant Friendship

As I wander this earth in total darkness
I wonder if your really here.
Theres a feeling of emptiness and fear
that guides me towards total loneliness.

I’ve allowed you to see my thoughts.
Yet I’m still hesitant to believe in you.
Are you really there for me completely?
Or have I allowed you in so inadvertently.
Oh help me, help me if I’ve been caught
With my heart left open so innocently,
For it was not my intent to be had so easily.

I do believe in the words you say
yet your sincerity at times frightens me.
I am hesitant to release myself completely.
Cause of the unknowings of your loyalty.
Hopefully there will be a day
That I can trust you and your authenticity.

I‘m left to decide if I want you in my life
Cause your search for my heart has struck a chord.
Yet my mind has to deal with my daily strife
and I still worried based on my recent accords.

Please allow me the time to understand you
for it is me that refuses total familiarity.
Not you my friend, not you without a clue
that deserves my honesty and harmony.
Will you permit me some time to accept you?
For this would allow us to live in perfect unity.

Internet Dating

As I scroll through numerous pages
reading hundreds of profiles, and the plethora of thoughts
of ladies identifying their lives in different stages.
I see each providing ideas on how they can be caught.

Theres Aprilrain, kittykat and even Pebbliepoo,
A Squirrelbolt, summerluvn4u, and one justfedup,
And that’s just to name a few!
A stinkpurty, a blondbug, and a sparrowtoo,
A womansroar, a markofzorro, and even a sassylady4u,
One luvsunicorns, theres Coltsgirl, and one nvrgivinup.
Where’s a man really suppose to start?
To find the woman that can fill his heart.

I see most have kids and that’s quite all right.
Many wish to spend time together, become friends,
Take a walk, hold hands and even cuddle at night.
It seems to me that I fit in just right.
They love music, dancing, and family to no end.
Their looking for a sense of humor, many like to laugh,
I wonder if they hired a research staff.
Please no liars, or cheaters need apply to be their better half.
All are tired of playing the dating games,
and don't have a lot of tolerance for stupid stuff.
Just send them a message and ask to know their names.
A date will follow I'm sure soon enough.

This Internet dating thing is really not a lot of fun
But I'm sure after all is said and done I will find the one.

Service To My Country

Symbolizing her beliefs
Exemplifying her brilliance
Raising her flag
Valuing her triumphs
Instilling her values
Conquering her enemies
Ensuring her success

Tasting her victories
Overcoming her critics

Minding her shores
Yelling her beauty

Complimenting her abilities
Obstructing her challengers
Understanding her intelligence
Nestling her truths
Trusting her leadership
Realizing her splendor
Yearning her CONTINUED success.

Trouble Mind

Tick Tock Tick Tock
Racing around like the hands of a clock.
Oscillating about with no rhyme nor reason.
Undoubtedly attempting to control me.
Banking on immediate changes
Laughing as you make me scream
Emphatically forcing yourself upon me

Mystifying my decisions as only you can
Instilling uncertainty and definitely hesitation
Never looking back to lend a hand
Doing as you wish hoping I understand.

Loves' Decision

A beating heart without hesitation
and bated breath steadily altered,
my love for you shall never falter.
Joy filled, yet with timid reservation
I’m dancing with your feelings and wounded mind.
Gently caressing your inner suspicions,
enticing you, exciting you, however blind.
Creating images of my smile, touch and smell.
I do, I do understand your mental hell.
As my heart beats unknowingly please decide?
Should I stay or should I go?
Only deep inside,
do you really know!

My Style

As I open MYSPACE
A logon is what it requests.
I can’t remember, UPPER or lower case
There, I believe that’s it, WHAT, I attest.
OH come on I know that is it, I protest.
OK, maybe I should have added that space.
Its loading…WAIT...WAIT…working at a snails pace…
Almost….WAIT…Finally, a friendly face.
NOW Write it down, so you don’t forget.
Are you kidding me?
I’ve been robbed. It’s empty, BUT WHY!
How in the heck can this be?
I really need to check up on this.
On the phone I GO….I’ll at least TRY!
BUSY….OMG, there’s got to be a better way!
Got to be a quicker way to see who has blown me a kiss.
OK…settle down…I know it was there the other day.
THINK……deeper…deeper…that’s it
DAMN……I forgot to hit transmit.
NOW…Settle down and smile…
Cause I’m writing my style.

Memories Gone

Blank images of times gone by
invisibly reflecting opaquely within.
Expecting a response, but none given.
Empty pages turned, why?
Nothing said. Nothing read.

Like an extinguished light
Or the flip of a switch
In total darkness, like at night.
Years, as life, slip away
Unable to locate any fond memories
Searching within, still nothing to say.
