The Night In Goa

Sleep, my love, near placid waters
Under a pale moon that lights the way,
Mosquitos resound their ranks to attack
A humble cottage where you and I stay.
I forage through your hair like the tiger
Whilst you rest your head on saffron pillows,
I press my lips hard against thy milky breasts,
Watching your eyes lift to gaggling swallows.
Your resisting thighs give way to my stern will
You make love as burning hearts confess,
Never shall we come again to this sweet valley
Where the fermented nectar of rapture is pressed.
Have I found you forever, O flower of this land?
Hand in hand together, as we jaunt though the sand.

Two Friends

Two friends converse
One idle forenoon,
About ages lost and shared
Sardonic as pantaloons.
How long has each known
The other's happenstance
Through days of sobriety,
And days of romance.
Regaling a mirthful tale
When each was young
Not keen on life,
But the hymns they have sung.
How can we find worth
In ash and dust?
Not in our tribulations,
But each other's trust.
How long will that association last?
Only as long as regard has passed.

Beauty Poem

What cherubim or spirits shall entreat
To preach the litany of thy beauty?
If rhyme and meter be the judge,
Then let my odes of bygone years
Fill dunes of sweet romanticism
With the stink of pusillanimity and nonsense.
Shall the minstrel regale thee in coquettish glee,
When springtime comes? What are his lyrics and songs
To describe the rapture of the gentle looks
That I long to hear alone.
Will spiteful maidens sob in the arms of their lovers
As you busily pass on the corner road?
What to speak of such frivolous indiscretion?
Only beauty without appellation will know.

Thinking On Perfection

When will my eyes find haven in ye Lady?
Thy exquisiteness is the discourse of my pleasure.
I wonder about all of your manners inestimable,
And leave aside all the common earth's treasures.
With breasts so full, my heart doth sigh
A face made radiant as the pole star.
Hair black as chimney sweeper's soot,
Her skin milky white like ivory bar.
Thy body sculpted by some angelic hand,
Hips curving as a nymph's seashell.
Thighs slender as caroling lovebirds,
Feet lingering idle by my wishing well.
Shall we meet once in lover's dance?
A choice less night, left not to chance.

Beautiful As the Rose

Why art thou as beautiful as the rose?
Thine eyes unfathomable as its whirl,
Thy face not obscured by such humdrum hue
Locks of thine hair finer than any petal's curl.
Lips full as the briar's scent
Chest swelling in humid summer breeze,
Skin softer than a darling Damaskan bud
Body enticing as Cupid's tease.
Why do thy hips shape as droplets of dew?
Your derriere serving as my dainty passion,
Thy stem like legs is pollen for the honeybee
That sings by thy feet with careless abandon.
All my jubilant heart shall pray he knows,
Thou art as beautiful as the rose.

Prayers For Our Marriage

I pray for His love
I pray for His strength
I pray for His wisdom
I pray for His holiness
I pray for His mercy
I pray for His power
To make our way to Christ Jesus.

Why I Love

Let my heart rest in minefields
I am quiet.
Winter approaches like a legion,
All the animals wait through the night.
I am so lonely for you.
You don't burn like drugs,
More like Russian roulette
Please let me go.
I am by myself again
The dreams have left me
The sun peaks through the clouds
It's a bit vexing.

Ganga

Your children play by the banks of the Ganga,
Their tummies grumble for its taste
They are poor and their clothes are soiled,
Behold the land of God!
You are the One Mother,
The giver of life
Full of opulence
Who dares to think?
You are their guide
You fill their hearts with strength
Never forsake them.
They pray with folded hands.
Can You hear?
They love only You.
