Baseball

When you crush a ball in the gap,
it makes you feel unstoppable.
When you make a diving catch,
it feels like you're on top of the world.
When you steal a base,
it's like you can do no wrong.
But when you strike out,
sometimes you want to hang your head.
When you miss a fly ball,
you want to dwell on the fact that you messed up.
When you get thrown out and you have dirt in your eyes,
it can be hard to pick yourself up.
But in baseball, you can't get caught up in mistakes,
you have to be ready for the next pitch.
Baseball isn't just a game,
the way you play baseball is the way you should live your life.
Always keep moving,
even when you make mistakes.

The Raging Ocean

The Raging Ocean Offering the boat one last chance, the raging ocean sends one last wave. The boat imagines the old times when the waves were rolling under it. Realizing that it will never float again, the boat surrenders to the raging ocean, allowing the water to wrap around it. The raging ocean senses the fear of the boat, so it sends one final blow to make the boat give up on its foe.

The Memories

The Memories Will the memories stay? They seem like they will never last. The times were great, but now they are all gone. Will the memories stay? I don't feel very confident, and I don't think I ever will. I will try to hang on, and I hope you will too. But I keep asking myself, "Will the memories stay?"

The Hushed Whispers

The Hushed Whispers The whispers come from all around, looking for an ear to hear them. Trying not to break away, so that the sound can still be heard. Fear cuts through the air, because no one knows where they are coming from. The hushed whispers in my ear, are something not to fear, but something to remember.
