Despair

Despair
Silent tears flow down my face.
Images of knives and blood flash before me.
I think how different their lives could have been.
A life without the paranoia, fear and self loathing.
Hatred and rage are my best friends.
My dreams are of death, mine or his.
They say time heals all wounds.
Unfortunately the scars are ripped open without warning.
I can not find forgiveness for myself or him.
Each morning I wake up and put a smile on my face.
Inside I am already dead.
He stole their childhood innocence and part of their soul.
A mother who gave her children to a demon.
He refuses to let them go.
It is too late.
I hide behind this fake impersonation of myself.
While I wait for the next pill or cut.
Insanity can not be far behind me.

Lost

Lost
She can see but yet is blind.
She is innocent but feels guilty.
She knows what love is but denies the truth.
She has a bright future but lives in the past.
She deserves the best but is attracted to the worst.
She is a beautiful person inside and out but she does not know it.
Her early years was filled with darkness.
Hatred is the only feeling that keeps the guilt from consuming my soul.

The Dark

The Dark
Awaken in a world of evil.
Running to save what is most precious.
Climbing up a slope so slippery.
So tempting to give up.
Love is all the motivation needed.
Reach the top of the slope!
It should have been safe.
Hear his laughter .
He knows his poison will follow.
All along what was most precious belonged to him.
I have fallen down that same steep slope.
Only to watch her follow in my footsteps.
