Love's Embrace

Me and relationships will never last
Because eventually you must embrace the past.
And my past was fast and painful
I messed up many times I was no angel
Mean and hateful
That was me...
Just longing to be free from me.
Me! There was no other
But the hurt that bound my mother was relentless
God just endless
Filled with hurtful words and stitches
I was called all types of names... just viscious... But my father
My poor father
I don't know why he even bothered
I was a messed up useless daughter
But I changed...
I changed that hate to smiles and laughter
Ha! I should have been an actor
No no sorry I meant actress
And as I laid upon my mattress
I practiced
Now my smile brings you closer
But to feel what's inside
No sir.
I can promise its not kosher
My emotions their so twisted
I swear to god they must have missed it
When I told them I'm demented
And I meant it.
God I'm sick
And you can't see it.
Because my smiles hide the bleeding
And the darkness is just weaving
Through my veins and its just feeding
So in love I have to fake it.
Till they see the real me
And they can't take it.
They realize that I am naked
And my soul is already taken.
So forever life is lost.
And love's the cost
