Tarahissa Jean Baptiste Poem
I am tired of questioning
Constantly shooting at my reflection wondering why
I am tired of being
To each day fade a little more inside
I am tired of hoping
And always see the last ray of hope
Faintly disappearing my sight
I am tired of painting a bed of roses down my horizon
To later witness a promising dream crumble before my eyes
Cruelly departing my sky
I am tired of smiling
While flows inside of me a boundless sea of sorrow
I am tired of opening my arms
To only receive warm embrace of regrets and deceits
i am tired of loving
for my heart screams in pain
Away from love
Exhausted to feel the vain passion
Of a racing heartbeat
Expecting sooner or later
Another arrow piercing through my chest
To whom has discovered the secret to be
tell me how to live
And truly exist
How to follow my star home
Without feeling lost
How to embrace every breath of life
Without resting upon my fear
What is this mystery behind love?
most of us fail to understand
How to live perfectly
Throughout the imperfections of life
