Confusion

In love. With Two.
No idea what to do.
Guilt twisting in my heart,
Trying to think of where to start.
He is there, holding my hand
I am in another land
In my head, with another,
Yet I really try to smother
All this love that I’m feeling
As it always leaves me reeling.
I’m in love with this boy
He is more than just a toy.
He wants to spend his life with me,
But I really cannot see
How I’m going to forget
And try my best not to regret
The smile on my face
As my heart begins to race
When I see this other man
And time, it seems to span
A thousand years. I couldn’t see
What this was going to do to me,
When I first began to dream.
I thought, as it would seem
That I could never split my heart
Then the hurt began to start
And I knew it was the end
But I wish I could pretend
That it was gone.
