Shed a Tear

I shed a tear...

Each morning I open my eyes and get ready to wake you up.
I clear my eyes and shed a tear.
I make me tea you coffee.
I shed a tear.
I tell you it's time to wake up it's time to start your day.
I shed a tear.
I pull you up place the walker there for you to grab.
I shed a tear.
Throughout the day your eyes are lost.
You no longer want to move.
No longer want to be here the pain is over for you.
I'm still here. I still make my tea no coffee.
I still wake up each day and remember you my mother my pain is still here.
I shed a tear.

Blame the Moon

Blame the moon

It was dark, round, and beautifully lite
That full moon captured all of my attention

Could the moon be to blame?
I felt all warm and mushy deep inside

It was that kiss under that epic moon
Charming and handsome to say the least

His touch of simple magic
has turned my life upside down

Yes, I blame it on that alluring moon....

The Beach

To live each day
with my toes in the sand,
with the cool breeze,
and mist on my face.

To live each day
searching for tiny seashells,
breathing in the fresh, clean, salty air.
My shoulders down and my back relaxed.

To live each day
with warm sun beating on my face.
My foot prints in the sand,
seagulls soaring by.

That's the seashore where
I would love to live...

I Will Still Hang Your Stocking

I will still hang your stocking...

Christmas will be different this year.
One stocking will be missing from the mantel.
One red Christmas plate will missing from the table.
One less gift under the tree.
One less person to sample my holiday cookie.
One less card to send this year.

Always know you will remain in my heart.
And you won't be any less remembered.
My heart will still send out love to you.

I will have to do the shopping this year without you, but I will still shop the same
stores and wear your holiday pin on my jacket.
All the holiday traditions you've taught me will be in full force this season. I will be sad
but that is to be expected. I will give myself permission to enjoy the tree and all the
preparation. Because Mom that is what you gave to me.

And Mom I will still hang your stocking in memory of you...

In That Window

what you brought to her life

As she looked through that large window she knew he was the one.
The one to help get her life back again.
The one who brought love into her heart.
The one who loves her unconditionally and whole heartily.
You may be small and walk on four legs and not speak a word.
But the large magnitude of joy is something you brought to her.
The love once lost is now replaced.
The love that once died is now renewed.
Thanks for being in that window.

It's My Turn

You took care of me, fed me, made me feel safe.
Dear Mother that is what you told me to do when I had a baby.
I t seems you are now my baby.
I'm changing you and holding you hoping you'll feel safe.
When did you turn into my baby?
I know it was hard for you to watch us roll you from side to side to clean you and still keep your dignity.
I'm sorry for all you went through I hope my voice was caring and soft as yours was to me my sweet mother. Your advice is what I used to take care of you once you became my baby.
Your life was ending the feeling of joy was gone for my baby would not thrive or flourish you would only rest now. Rest in peace with the warm feelings of love and comfort we passed to you. Sweet eternal dreams my dear Mother you remain forever in our hearts...

Who Is That Face

Who is that face....
I look and feel like me,
but who is that face.
I look down at my hands,
where are my rings?
Maybe I never had any.
I see photos of my face, my body, even my feet.
Why is this feeling deep in my tummy,
why is this happening to me.
Who is that face?
I look into your eyes each morning,
and before bed each night
Who is that face....
Each day I fade a bit more,
sinking into a place of sadness.
Someday I pray I know that face.....

Broken Wings

Broken wings....
You have such a beautiful light glowing within you right now.
You have this strength back that I see coming through.
You have opened up to so many new things in your life.
you're relaxed and light hearted again, playful, and fun loving
Oh how I love seeing you shine right now.

The rocks that you have turned over these last few months were hard.
You have blossomed inside to new places that are so rich to watch.
Your new friends who see your potential and realized all you needed was a little encouragement and you will soar to new heights.
These are the people that have helped you grow and noticed that nothing will stop you reach your goals.

Keep soaring don't fly backwards it won't help you, it will only result in broken wings over and over again.
My sweet angel keep your flight on path and take with you everything you have learned.
It is your time to reach endless possibilities with your beautiful open heart.

Did I Give Up To Soon

They told me it's time.
You have stopped eating, drinking, and getting up.
But you still smiled at me
You still held my hand.
I could still touch you and you could still touch me.
The strength in our bond was still there.
Did I let go to soon.
I never wanted you to go that way.
I guess we can't pick our time.
We both let go of our hands it's time to say goodbye.
