To Those of You Who Knew Me

To all of you who knew me,
Or at least thought you did,
I just though you should know,
This is the bitter end,
Nothing sweet about it,
A life to sad to tell,
I just thought you should know,
The reasons that I fell,
I tried to be happy,
I tried to pull through,
I tried to trust you,
When you said I love you,
My walls I let them down,
My heart I opened up,
To only have it broken,
By my life and my love,
The black darkness is just too powerful,
I can no longer push it away,
Im sorry that I let you down,
But I can no longer stay,
My time was not worthy,
My path to unclear,
The pain just too deep now,
For me to still stay here,
I wish things were different,
I wish I could do more than cry,
Im just not worth the energy,
That it takes to even try,
I feel like a failure,
In everything I do,
The only thing I was good at,
Was loving you,
But that was not enough,
To keep the tears at bay,
Because even with my love,
Your heart still walked away,
Jealousy and obsession,
Controlling my very mood,
The numb is taking over,
The path now becoming clear,
Im done trying to be happy,
Im done living in my fears,
I hope you know I loved you,
I hope you know I tried,
I hope you will remember,
Every tear I cried

Escape

I want to escape,
I want to run,
But where do I go,
Somewhere fun,

A place where the sun is shining,
But it is not hot,
The rain is falling,
Yet I don't feel a drop,

Birds are chirping,
Butterflies fly,
Lightning strikes,
In that clear blue sky,

The wind is blowing,
Across my skin,
Sending chills down my back,
Making my lips form a grin,

The shadows are lurking,
I can see them dance,
Do I join in,
Should I take that chance,

My fears are liquid,
They drift away,
I watch them flutter,
Into outerspace,

The fish are jumping,
Why do they have wings,
Why do I muse,
Over these random things,

My thoughts are racing,
My imagination runs,
As I lay here,
In the sun,

The clouds are coming,
This can't be good,
Is it time to leave,
I think I should,

I hear no chirping,
I see no fish,
The shadows are laughing,
Like crypt keepers in the mist,

It's time to run,
It's time to dash,
This is no longer fun,
I need to escape and fast,

The worlds turned dark,
The end is near,
My thoughts are now filled,
With nothing but fear,

I want to escape,
I want to run,
But where do I go,
When there is no longer fun?
