Escape
I want to escape,
I want to run,
But where do I go,
Somewhere fun,
A place where the sun is shining,
But it is not hot,
The rain is falling,
Yet I don't feel a drop,
Birds are chirping,
Butterflies fly,
Lightning strikes,
In that clear blue sky,
The wind is blowing,
Across my skin,
Sending chills down my back,
Making my lips form a grin,
The shadows are lurking,
I can see them dance,
Do I join in,
Should I take that chance,
My fears are liquid,
They drift away,
I watch them flutter,
Into outerspace,
The fish are jumping,
Why do they have wings,
Why do I muse,
Over these random things,
My thoughts are racing,
My imagination runs,
As I lay here,
In the sun,
The clouds are coming,
This can't be good,
Is it time to leave,
I think I should,
I hear no chirping,
I see no fish,
The shadows are laughing,
Like crypt keepers in the mist,
It's time to run,
It's time to dash,
This is no longer fun,
I need to escape and fast,
The worlds turned dark,
The end is near,
My thoughts are now filled,
With nothing but fear,
I want to escape,
I want to run,
But where do I go,
When there is no longer fun?
